Author and speaker helping people transform money struggles into financial confidence.
Jasmine Paul is an author, motivational speaker, entrepreneur, and founder of The Wealth Playground. Her work has been featured in many prestigious institutions, including Harvard’s curriculum on financial education.
Jasmine credits a period of homelessness for defining her purpose. During her senior year in college, she found herself sleeping in her car and on friends’ couches. As the first in her family to attend college, she was so ashamed of her financial difficulties that she kept them a secret from her family for years.
But Jasmine was determined to change her life. While serving in the Air Force, she spent her spare time learning everything she could about money, seeking advice, and working with mentors. She bought her first home at 23, paid off $40,000 in student loans by 24, and helped more than 110 adults repay over $350,000 in student loan and credit card debt.
Inspired by her journey, Jasmine founded The Wealth Playground to empower young people to understand money and make smart financial choices.
Her first book, A Boy, a Budget, and a Dream, was named one of Parents.com’s Top 10 Best Books to Teach Kids About Money and has already helped young readers save more than $52,000. Jasmine has partnered with organizations like the Taco Bell Foundation, La Vida Scholars, Oakland/Berkeley YWCA, Caesar Rodney School District, St. Louis Public School District, and Tampa Bay Startup Week.
She is a Certified Financial Education Instructor, a former Senior Finance Manager in the U.S. Air Force, and holds a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship. Jasmine’s ultimate goal is to inspire money conversations early and often so that kids can live out their dreams—instead of living in their cars.
Jasmine grew up in Japan, giving her a unique perspective on how different cultures view money and community.
During her time in the U.S. Air Force, she once launched a missile—an experience that taught her precision, adaptability, and calm under pressure.
Her belief that money should feel less intimidating inspired her to design The Wealth Playground as a place where learning about finances feels creative and empowering.
